HMF Candigen Cream Topical Vaginal Probiotic Formula.
Garlic has been traditionally used to help fight bacterial infections. It has demonstrated antimicrobial activity against common pathogenic bacteria and yeasts associated with bacterial vaginosis (BV), vulvovaginal candidiasis and urinary tract infections.1, 2, 3 The antimicrobial action of allicin inhibits the overgrowth of yeast which has occurred already, or prevents its occurrence.
Normal, healthy vaginal microflora plays an important role in reproductive and urogenital health and prevention of genital and urinary tract infections in women.4, 5, 6 The healthy vaginal microflora is dominated by Lactobacillus species.7, 8 Lactobacillus acidophilus replaces the normal protective flora dominance of lactobacilli which helps to prevent any recurrence of overgrowth.
HMF Candigen Cream is a revolutionary product that combines proprietary human-microflora strains of Lactobacillus acidophilus (CUL-60) and Lactobacillus gasseri (CUL-09) with Allium Sativum (garlic) in an easy-to-administer cream format, which dissolves quickly when in contact with moisture. HMF Candigen Cream is recommended for external use only.

If you are experiencing back or abdominal pain, fever, chills or vomiting, malodorous vaginal discharge, blood or pus in your urine, or if you have a history of kidney disease, consult your healthcare practitioner prior to use, as a more serious condition may be present. If sensitization or signs of irritation (e.g. rash, burning sensation, redness) occur that was not present before using this product, discontinue use.
Studies show that antibiotic therapy destroys normal microflora and suppresses the immune system, causing an increased incidence of bacterial, viral, and parasitic infections. When the presence of Lactobacilus acidophilus, the primary beneficial vaginal flora, is compromised, harmful organisms such as Chlamydia, Gardnerella vaginalis or E. coli will infiltrate the vaginal tract. Hormonal changes, especially during pregnancy and menopause, can promote bacterial overgrowth.
HMF Candigen Cream is indicated for external vaginal itching, irritation and inflammation; for cutaneous fungal infections, acne, spots and pimples; and for diaper rash and ear infections. Due to the high allicin content, the HMF Candigen Cream is not recommended for internal usage as it may cause some irritation. For intra-genital infections, use HMF Candigen ovules.

Are HMF products shipped with an ice pack? No. But, after extensive product testing and new freeze drying technology performed by Genestra, it was concluded that the ice pack did not make a difference during shipping since the product potency was still well over 100% label claims when shipped with ice or no ice. The manufacturer states that it is no longer necessary to ship the HMF products with an ice pack for these reasons: - Genestra has added in 50% more probiotic than what the label guarantees per bottle. For example, HMF Forte is guaranteed to have 6 billion L. acidophilus per serving, but there are 12 billion present at time of manufacturing and it is kept frozen until shipping.
- October 2004: The manufacturer has increased product stability again, allowing the probiotics to last up to 6 months at room temperature holding their GUARANTEED minimum potency on label!
- You will receive your HMF probiotic directly from the manufacturer in about 3-5 days. This product is very fresh and has not been sitting around on our shelves. And, you are guaranteed it will contain 50% more than what the label states.
How do I travel with my HMF probiotics? We highly recommend you take your probiotics with you on all trips and vacations since their potency will last for up to 6 months at room temperature un-refrigerated. But, when possible and if convenient, we recommend you store your probiotics in the freezer or refrigerator, especially if you plan to preserve freshness of your product for months or years.
