The formulation of the HMF probiotics has not changed, just the manufacturer?s guarantee has changed on the label of the HMF Probiotics. It has been recently communicated to us by Seroyal/Genestra that ?Barley gluten, lactose and soy are used in the fermentation medium for growing the micro-organisms prior to manufacturing the final formulation. These nutrients are digested by the micro-organisms during fermentation and further removed during centrifugation (after fermentation).?
?We have tested the HMF probiotics as worst-case scenarios based on total daily consumption and target populations and no gluten, dairy or soy was detected in the final product. Although our analytical assay for soy, gluten & dairy did not detect any proteins, these methods cannot detect total absence.?

Are HMF products shipped with an ice pack? No. But, after extensive product testing and new freeze drying technology performed by Genestra, it was concluded that the ice pack did not make a difference during shipping since the product potency was still well over 100% label claims when shipped with ice or no ice. The manufacturer states that it is no longer necessary to ship the HMF products with an ice pack for these reasons:
Genestra has added in 50% more probiotic than what the label guarantees per bottle. For example, HMF Forte is guaranteed to have 6 billion L. acidophilus per serving, but there are 12 billion present at time of manufacturing and it is kept frozen until shipping.

I have suffered with UTI, bladder infections, and pyelonephritis for a long time and was tired of continually taking courses of antibiotics. I had a bout of cystitis about two months ago and started with HMF Cystgen sachets for six days-the symptoms dissipated almost immediately. I now take a sachet once a month as a preventative measure and continue with a daily probiotic capsule.

This product is excellent at both soothing an active UTI and replenishing the healthy bacteria that may have been missing in order for the UTI to take hold in the first place. As a long time sufferer of Cystitis, this product is invaluable to me and brings quick and welcome relief.
