HMF Intensive is the highest potency HMF probiotic in a capsule and contains no Fructo-oligosacharides (FOS). Each capsule contains a minimum of 30 billion CFU of L. acidophilus, B. bifidum, B. lactis. Are HMF products shipped with an ice pack? No. But, after extensive product testing and new freeze drying technology performed by Genestra, it was concluded that the ice pack did not make a difference during shipping since the product potency was still well over 100% label claims when shipped with ice or no ice. The manufacturer states that it is no longer necessary to ship the HMF products with an ice pack for these reasons:
Genestra has added in 50% more probiotic than what the label guarantees per bottle. For example, HMF Forte is guaranteed to have 6 billion L. acidophilus per serving, but there are 12 billion present at time of manufacturing and it is kept frozen until shipping.
October 2004: The manufacturer has increased product stability again, allowing the probiotics to last up to 6 months at room temperature holding their GUARANTEED minimum potency on label!
You will receive your HMF probiotic directly from the manufacturer in about 3-5 days. This product is very fresh and has not been sitting around on our shelves. And, you are guaranteed it will contain 50% more than what the label states.
How do I travel with my HMF probiotics? We highly recommend you take your probiotics with you on all trips and vacations since their potency will last for up to 6 months at room temperature un-refrigerated. But, when possible and if convenient, we recommend you store your probiotics in the freezer or refrigerator, especially if you plan to preserve freshness of your product for months or years.
Where are the bacterial strains derived from?
Using laboratory procedures many years ago, hundreds of different bacterial strains were isolated from a healthy human intestinal wall sample. They were separated out, and each one was reproduced to make huge batches for testing via scientific trials. (Lab procedures only require one cell sample to reproduce large quantities for testing and production over the years). Research indicated that only four of the hundreds of available cultures were the beneficial strains with health promoting properties. These were the ones which held up strong during 15 years of testing, thus they were used as the probiotic strains in all the HMF products. I recently decided to try HMF Intensive. I am a very allergic person, especially to many foods and food supplements, so I was prepared for a possible allergic reaction. Sure enough, within approximately five seconds after I took the first dose (immediately after a meal, just as was recommended), the nerves in my arms became "on fire", the sensation spreading very rapidly in just a few seconds from my shoulders down to my finger tips; I also became very weak and "fearful and panicky", somewhat similar to a panick attack; I was sitting down in a comfortable chair and was able to stay there and relax for a couple of hours until the reaction subsided. Once every few years I try a new nutritional product of some kind; often such a product will make me feel better, with no allergic reaction. I do not blame the HMF Intensive at all; the problem is that, for some unknown reason, my body simply did not like it! It is probably a fine product; over the years, I have had bad reactions to many unprocessed foods and really good food supplements, things that would be very healthy for most people.

Good to know that the strains are human derived and attach to the epithelial and colonizes, instead of being transient like dairy or plant strains.

Great natural cure for Yeast Infections

I would have never thought that taking a natural product could have cured a yeast infection. Never again will I take Diflucan or any of those nasty remedies that don't always work. Delivery was very impressive, fast and ended up arriving the next day after we ordered.
