Please note this is a fairly high dose of Manganese and should be used under the care of a physician. The estimated safe and adequate daily dietary intake value for Manganese is 2-5 mg for adults, though up to 10 mg / day is considered safe.

It is important to note, toxicity is more likely to occur when the environment is contaminated with manganese than from dietary intake. Miners who inhale large quantities of manganese dust over prolonged periods show symptoms similar to those of Parkinson's disease. People with impaired manganese excretion can also experience these effects even with very low manganese intake. Manganese accumulation due to chronic liver disease seems to cause Parkinsonian-like symptoms, encephalopathy, and psychosis. This is why we recommend to use this high dose under the care of your physician, and not for over a long period of time.
